Are you an undergraduate student or recent graduate who is ready to use your major in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) field or science policy to help make a difference in the world? Then the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) is for you!

SULI is a paid internship opportunity sponsored and managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) in collaboration with DOE laboratories/facilities. Students can participate in SULI either in a 10-week summer internship (May–August) or in a semester-long experience (August–December or January–May).

Idaho National Laboratory Internship Applications Now Open!

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has opened its internship application system for both undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants may apply through one of the two pathways linked below, based on their academic level.

INL plans to make internship selections before the Christmas holiday (around December 23). Early applications are strongly encouraged, especially for competitive candidates. If you identify students who would be a strong fit, please feel free to share their names and CVs with the NLSO Office or with your INL collaborator of choice so INL can help connect them with suitable mentors and potential project placements.

Please note that all internships must be tied to active INL projects. While there are many opportunities available, final placements depend on project scope and funding.
